UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE SOKOINE

The university of Agriculture Sokoine is one of best and earlier Agricultural  University in Tanzania which its vision is to become a centre of excellence in agriculture and allied sciences.It was located at Morogoro region and it was established on the 1st July, 1984 by Parliamentary Act No. 6 of the same year.But Sokoine University of Agriculture was started in 1965 as an Agriculture College and in 1970 the College was transformed into a Faculty of Agriculture of UDSM and thereby started offering Bachelor programs such as  Science in Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, “Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Forestry and Nature Conservation (FoF & NC), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), Faculty of Science (FoS) etc.Also the University of Sokoine has Postgraduate Studies
